Abstract

One of the core issues of our times is, the socio-political culture has changed dramatically causing tolerance level to drop significantly. To address this concern, work needs to be done at all ends. Wisdom can be drawn from the narratives of the Sufis of the region. Layyah is located strategically, on the eastern bank of River Indus, where Punjab meets Baluchistan and Sindh. This paper attempts to interpret two illustrations from two archaeological sites of the Sufis of Layyah,- the principle one is from Darbār Rājan Shāh, and the other is from Mandir Ghaŕhaw La‘l Ji. The interpretations of the imagery spotlight the sense and sensibilities of these saints, and their contribution to humanity for the peaceful coexistence of all.
